Prior to meeting up with the tour group, I spent a day in Scottsdale, just outside of Phoenix. I took the free town trolley into Old Town for dinner, and discovered a new favorite local brew, Kilt Lifter Scottish Style Ale by the Four Peaks Brewery of Tempe, AZ.

There were lots of parakeets also
Cowboy themes are big out here
Old Town Scottsdale is filled with galleries and souvenir shops
The pizza at Nello’s was very good. The beer even better.
I like all the horse sculptuers
The area lights up at night. Many bars and restaurants also.
